Charlie has a 97 white chevy astro-van.

It is ideal for long drives to surf spots.

Since PJ plays a marine on TV he was able to get us passes onto Camp Pendleton Marine Base so we could surf really fun waves. Normally the Marines would frown at the idea of Charlie and myself anywhere near their base but today with Generation PJ on our side.

Sadly we did not have the support of Charlie’s van…

We had to push it off the freeway.

After much thought, Charlie decided that its the alternator and we should call for back up.

PJ also made some calls… His were to HBO demanding a car to come get him. So long buddy were off to the mechanics with some assistance from AAA.

Once at Steve’s Auto Repair we were informed that Charlie was right. The asshole alternator was the reason we would be spending the next few hours in LAWNDALE.

Steve ended up being a pretty cool dude and had one of his bros take us to Chucke Cheese’s for some beer and skeet ball.

Chuckee Cheese’s does sell beer.

Lupe poured a stiff drink and had GnR “Lies” on the juke box. After only two drinks Lupe and I discussed how our relationship was going to work with such a long commute.

Another one of Steve’s bros picked us up. Steve treated us like VIP’s.
