In keeping up with internet trends I have now moved this blog to tumblr… So long wordpress.

A couple weeks ago I went to the Amazon to work on this project. On my way to Macapa I spent a day in Brasilia so I could check out all of the city’s architecture. It was amazing.

3 years and 4 months after the first day of shooting, my film premiered at the tribeca film festival. It was quite a surreal experience from the red carpet stuff and press conference to the reality of it really being over. It was the first time I’d seen Ozzy since we finished shooting and it was fun to hang out with him without a camera in hand and hear what he liked and disliked about the film.

Last October I spent 3 weeks shooting insight’s new campaign on location in LA, Bali, Jamaica and Sydney. Here are just a few of the ads from the job and a behind the scenes video.

Back in October I spent 2 weeks living outdoors in Bolder Utah.  I pretty much only had the clothes on my back, a knife, a poncho, a canteen and a blanket. The trip ended up being one of the greatest experiences of my life that I’m still processing almost 2 months later.

because my website, wordpress, twitter and facebook weren’t enough, I now have a photo diary on tumblr that I will try to update daily.

a couple saturdays ago george and i decided to rent a boat. these photos were taken right before we passed the break wall. there are no photos after that because we were hit by the rough seas which washed over the boat destroying my ipod, stereo, blackberry and camera…

this is what my job is like…

me: “you see my new post?”

agent: “WTF? are you serious! take that down now!”

me: “really?”

agent: “yes!”

me: “its off”

agent: “okay. no more pu$#y shots on the blog. jesus f’ing christ.”

me:

agent: “too bad.”

me: ” i thought it was funny”

agent: “its not”

agent: “maybe update your client list to include hewlett packard, Oyster, K-Swiss, 72andSunny, wii, tyr, vans, Fast Company,….who else?

oh and the agency on tyr…. girl art buyers will not appreciate it. guaranteed.”

agent: “i mean, they will appreciate the client list. not the pu$#y porn.”

A couple weeks ago I spent the day  at City Hall shooting portraits of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa along with some of his staff. The shoot was super fun and I’m not going to lie and say I wasnt kind of star struck being there.

some words of advice, when you pull up to the security gate at any government building its not a good idea to say your there to shoot someone… Dude did not think it was funny.

i’m still alive. shot jeff bridges last month in santa barbara along with a bunch of other stuff i’m not allowed to share yet… I know its been over a month since my last post but we’re in the final stages of getting the movie done and its been pretty much 24/7… Had two screenings last week and the feedback was very positive, lots of work still ahead but the finish line is seriously in sight. New post later this week with more details.
