Jordan, Sage and myself shared a room in Miami for art basel last year. We learned a lot about ourselves on that trip that I think I will save for an exclusive post to mark the 1 year anniversary.

Over the years that tension dissolved and Blake transformed from a kid I had to deal with to a guy I considered my friend. 

Blake plays the guitar really well. Lots of people want him to play in their bands so they fly him all over the place to play guitar. 

Blake also makes his own music which I like much more than most of the bands he’s hired to play with. 

He played a solo show last week. He had never played with his band before so it was really entertaining to watch them all communicate on stage. I was inspired.

Hopefully the future will bring some collaborations…

Blake is now back on tour with Band of Horses so if you live somewhere they are going…

This chick was crazy. She drove from Arizona to meet some of her “pirate friends” so she could get a major record deal. She had a gold mic, a flask full of vodka, a gold leotard and a techno demo tape.
