At days end the party will be over…

After almost 2 weeks at sea I thought I would be ready to get home. I was wrong.

The last ride into the line up.

The last of the islands.

The last photo of Eric on a boat.
The last of Sage’s giant hair.

The last homo-erotic photo I will take on the Nusantara.

The sad drive to the airport.

On the way home we spent a day in Singapore taking in all the tiny Country had to offer. Singapore is only 3.5 time the size of Washington DC.

Sage with his new hair and his new “friend”.
The Bachelor, his Agent and his Nightlife Adviser.

You haven’t lived until you have witnessed hundreds of people shopping for panties on the ground floor of a mega mall while a live DJ pumps out the hottest jams of 1999.
The Nightlife Adviser was moved by the music. Eric was just confused.

The “4 floors” bar was amazing, the women were a bit too pushy for my taste but the Guns & Roses cover band made up for it. The bastards wouldn’t let me shoot inside so you’ll just have to believe me.

It was that good.

Back to the coolest airport in the world.
Those are just a few of the 100′s of skylights inside the new billion dollar Terminal 3.

On the flight home Brendan asked me to come look out his window.
He was concerned that one of the engines was slightly on fire. I assured him that the small fire was nothing to worry about. Then I realized this was a plane that I would be on for the next 19 hours and it was flying at 32,000 feet. Maybe a small engine fire wasn’t the best thing to not be worried about. So I took a photo of the engine fire and showed it to a few of the flight attendants
One of them became immediately upset and ran towards the cockpit. The co-pilot came rushing down the isle and cleared the row to get a closer look. While taking turns looking at the engine and the photo on my camera he decided he still needed a second opinion and went to grab the pilot. Before he left, he congratulated Brendan and me for noticing the threat. He commented on our excellent eye sight and recommended we look into becoming pilots ourselves! When the head pilot came down he quickly told us not to worry about it and to sit down. It turns out it was just a gas leak in the ENGINE… WTF?
The pilot ended up being a cool dude and had one of the first class flight attendants bring us a bottle of Dom Pérignon for almost saving all of the 400 passengers. Thanks Singapore Airlines!
So long bros… Best trip ever!

Which part of Indonesia were you guys in? From the license plate off the “Angkot” (Public transportation car thing), you guys went to Sumatera Barat. Visited Mentawai? Great pictures.
